Vic Armstrong

Vic Armstrong was born on 5 October, 1946 in Farnham Common, Buckinghamshire, and began his career as a stunt rider before becoming the most prolific stuntman in film history (according to Guinness World Records). He has performed and co-ordinated stunts across more than five decades, winning an Academy Award and BAFTA for his contributions to action film-making.
Vic’s genre credentials are extraordinary: he was Harrison Ford’s regular stunt double across the Indiana Jones trilogy and doubled Han Solo in Star Wars: Episode VI – Return of the Jedi. He also doubled Christopher Reeve in all three original Superman films, performed stunts in Blade Runner, Dune, Legend and Conan the Destroyer, and worked on numerous James Bond productions across multiple eras. His 2011 memoir, The True Adventures of the World’s Greatest Stuntman, chronicles his extraordinary career. He is married to fellow stunt performer Wendy Leech.
