Chloë Annett

Chloë Annett was born on 25 July 1971 in London and grew up in East Finchley, the daughter of television director Paul Annett (known for his extensive work on EastEnders) and actress and voice expert Margo Annett. She trained at Mountview Theatre School and spent time acting in America before returning to the UK to build a television career.

In 1997, Chloë landed two significant roles simultaneously: the lead in BBC One’s science fiction detective series Crime Traveller — playing a scientist who uses her late father’s time machine to help solve crimes — and the role of Kristine Kochanski, the navigation officer from a parallel universe who becomes stranded with the crew of Red Dwarf, which she played across Series VII, VIII and the 2009 special Back to Earth. In 2011 she won Best Actress at the London Independent Film Festival for her title role in the film Leila.
