Anton Lesser

Anton Lesser is one of our best-loved actors. His renowned body of work includes Theatre, Film and TV. His role as Thomas More in Wolf Hall earned him a BAFTA nomination for Best Supporting Actor. Other credits include Qyburn in Game of Thrones, Major Partagaz in Andor, Harold Macmillan in The Crown, Chief Superintendent Bright in Endeavour, and Pirates of the Caribbean: Stranger Tides.

Anton also has one of the country’s best-known voices, thanks to his extensive work with BBC Radio (including Falco) and audiobooks, including most of Dickens’ novels. An Associate of the RSC, Anton recently appeared in Rupert Goold’s Hamlet at the RST, Stratford-upon-Avon. Anton is playing Ollivander, the wandmaker in the new HBO Harry Potter TV series.
